Born and raised in the Fort Worth, Texas area (specifically Colleyville), Shaylor graduated from Grapevine High School and spent most of his college days at the University of Texas at Arlington. His passion for sports, particularly baseball, influenced his decision to hone his skills in sports officiating. After graduating from the Jim Evans Umpire Academy in Florida, he spent the following six years officiating professional baseball in the minor leagues, with occasional returns to the Academy as an instructor. His baseball officiating career continues today as he serves on staff at the Big 12 and the AAC.
Upon completion of his time spent in the minor leagues, Shaylor accepted a church staff position as Youth Pastor where he served for the following thirteen years. During this time, his interest in traveling broadened which has taken him to forty countries. He is a “Disney oficionado”, has visited most Disney theme parks around the world, and is passionate about running marathons. His wife, Natalie, and young daughter, Soryn, join him in his love for travel and “all things Disney!” The beautiful 2015 wedding of Shaylor and Natalie took place on the beach of Maui, Hawaii.
Shaylor recognizes that being part of the Pro Capital team is an incredible opportunity for all aspects of his background to come together, including sports and ministry, and serve the financial strategy needs of people. He is a fiercely loyal and dedicated person who looks forward to growth and protection for all those he serves.
